“After Spending Hours Looking  Online For the Best Selection Of  Professional Hair Dryers – I Found The Perfect Blow Dryer And Best Site On The Internet…Period.”

Hello. My name is Rachel Moore from Berkley California. I just wanted to share my story of how I went from the absolute worst blow dryer on the planet, to find the absolute best professional hairdryer that money can buy. I mean a true zero to hero type of story. If you’re like me, you can often find yourself wrestling between determining which tools are best for the money, more specifically hairdryers. Do you buy the cheap drugstore variety that cost less than $50 bucks or do you choose the professional hair dryers that you see those sweet little boy stylist using on those cosmopolitan TV shows :-)

My main problem and how I started out

Well, in the beginning I started out with a cheap drugstore model I think I paid $29.95 for it. I bought it few years back when I attended college at Berkeley University. Back in those days I found myself using that little thing almost every day and I just didn’t know back then that using a low quality hair dryer on a high heat setting can cause major major damage to my hair.

Over time my hair became extremely brittle and I wound up with massive Frizz; my frizzy haired looked like a mane; and appeared like one of the cast of characters off the lion King. You see what a lot of women don’t realize including myself at the time is that a good hair program starts after you wash and dry your hair and if you want good results you just cannot afford to cut corners on the tools you use and how you use them. In the good old days or our mothers (bless them) all one had to do was towel and air dry their hair after washing it (but with school and work who really has time for all that) but now days with less time; selecting the right hair dryer is sooo very important.

You see cheaper and less than professional hairdryers fall short in these three basic but very important areas:

1. Power – when it comes to hairdryers power is everything, your hair dryer either has it or it doesn’t but if you want the best results, the type of results that the pro’s get you need to have a hair dryer with lots of power. I mean power to spare!

2. Frizz and static Reduction – non professional hairdryers do not use tourmaline or ionic coating on their power generators, these are the particles that reduce and eliminate static by up to 90%.

3. Drying time – since cheap hairdryers lack in overall power are not equipped with static reducing components like tourmaline ions which will increase drying times by 2 to 3 times compared to professional dryer; at the same time increasing the overall damage to your hair.

Finally, found something that works

So it really didn’t take me long to figure out the fact that I needed to trade in my cheap hair dryer in exchange for a higher quality professional grade dryer model. It sounds easy but it really wasn’t there so many brands and models to choose from and so many places online to buy them. I was quickly at wits end trying to figure out where to start. I also had to establish financially how much I was willing to spend. I figured over the last three years I dropped about $150-$200 on cheaper dryer models. You know the kind that don’t put out much power, heat or when I dropped them (I did many times) they quickly began to stop working. I decided that my budget would be the sum of all the cheaper models added together and that would be the amount I would invest in a professional tourmaline hair dryer.

So I began my research on Google, I combed through all the woman’s beauty sites like Allure, Glamour American Salon, In Style, Women’s Health and Sally’s. What I noticed was how everyone was buzzing and talking about the Sedu Brand and the Sedu Revolution TGR 4000i and the TGR 3600. There were a lot of professional reviews and celebrity mentions about how great these two blow dryer models were and the results they were getting with them. Another good thing was the fact that either model the TGR 4000i at $169.99 or the 3600 at $159.99 were absolutely within my price range; so no problem there. So after finishing my research on Sedu and its brand I decided to go with what everyone was saying that the “TGR 4000i was the best professional hairdryer model money could buy.”

Why I love it so much

Well this is the easy part telling you why I’m absolutely crazy about my Sedu TRG Pro Dryer. One of the most important things it gives me, is just absolute piece of mind knowing that I can, at any time wash my hair there won’t be any problems drying my hair quick, fast and damage free.

And boy is this thing quiet! I mean really quiet! My old blow dryer used to sound like a jumbo jet taking off from the LA international Airport disturbing everyone in my house and neighborhood. Now with the Sedu TGR you gain twice as much power and its twice as quiet.

I didn’t realize this until I started using it, the Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic TGR 4000i Hair Dryer has dual functionality that allows me to switch between having ions (for a smooth and shiny finish) or without having ions (for high volume finish) I really love this feature. I don’t know what’s in there or how it works but it seems the tourmaline locks in the shiny sheen in my hair giving it a silky smooth look right after drying.

I also like the fact that it’s about 30% smaller and much lighter than my old cheaper hairdryer so that it easily fits in my purse or workout bag when I go to the gym.

It also has about six or seven heat settings ranging from volcanic to arctic breeze and with the power this thing puts out I can drop it down to a really cool setting and the high volume of air this blow dryer puts out still dries my hair extremely fast with absolutely no damage.

Well there you have it, I could go on and on and on about why love my Sedu Revolution hairdryer but I really think I’ve made my point that if you decide to go cheap be advised you have been warned. I think that it is easy to see the value in what I’m saying, that it is clear the true value can only be found in making a proper investment in a professional type hairdryer like the Sedu TGR 4000i.

Where to get it

If you’re looking to pick up one of these little beauties for yourself and gain peace of mind that you won’t have to worry about for next 3 to 5 years then you can go to folica.com and get yours at the same place I got mine. I did my homework and they had the overall best price for this thing other than eBay (but do you really trust eBay? Buying from some shady individual or some unknown country, I mean that seems like a bad idea) the listing price was $270 but I got mine on sale for $169.99 I’m real happy about that. Oh and by the way, I took them up on their free shipping option, it wasn’t next day air or anything like that but it did arrive on the third day after ordering which wasn’t too bad; as long as you can control your anticipation.

I agree with you on making the investment in quality professional hairdryer; I too have had my ups and downs with cheaper dryers but now I have seen the light.

Do you know if Sedu & Velecta are the same company? Their dryers look very similar?

This was so helpful – I bought my first “professional” hair dryer 23 years ago and have only gone through 2 dryers! Pretty impressive, especially since I use it every other day on my long, thick hair that takes at least 30 minutes to dry (took much longer with cheaper dryers). My second, the Chi Rocket just died and I wasn’t sure what to get next. I heard a lot about the Sedu brand and your recommendation and review is very helpful.

Do you know what the estimated life in hours of the hair dryer is? I’ve seen this info posted for other dryers, and was just interested in knowing what the expected life was for this dryer?
    Thanks!
